November Book Club

Hello All! I missed you all so much last month, but I'm happy to report that despite the fact that we are moving to Tosa, I'll still plan on coming to book club. However, Jake is going to have to go to class on Thursdays. I think I'll plan on getting a sitter most of the time, but I don't think I'll be able to swing it in October. I'm closing on my house on the 24th of this month and moving into the house ASAP, I just don't know if I could find a sitter. Anyway, don't know who is the master scheduler; but I would LOVE to have all of you to my house in November. Can someone forward me the list of books you've read? How's Gay? I'd love to help...let me know Catherine if you need anything for next week.

Back to the last book...

I have been listening to my book instead of reading it and this makes it difficult to go back over things. I am a little confused and don't remember from our conversation just what was said about ultra pasteurized milk. Is there something wrong with it other than not being able to make cheese from it? And I also don't see any milks that are ultra pasteurized other than the small cartons. Wasn't it being said that all the milk here was all ultra pasteurized and that it wouldn't be good to make cheese? Or is the milk "Deans" acceptable for making cheese?

If anyone can clarify this I would appreciate it.

Loving the Blog

Who is mom2boys!! There are several of you in our club that fit the description. Thanks again Nikki for coming up with this idea! Loving it after I figured out how to use it last night. Some of us are techno slower than many of you.
I liked seeing Marcie the Marvelous on our blog so I decide I had to have a nifty adjective too. N adjectives are hard to come by.
Thanks to everyone for coming. As usual, I had a fabulous time and hope everyone else did as well. I am attaching the list of members since we’ve had a few changes (Nancy has email, hooray! and we now know Demi’s phone #, hooray again!). We missed all of you who could not make it. Next month’s meeting will be held on October 4th at 8:00 p.m. at Catharine’s home (we switched this month’s to mine last minute due to sick child). The book I chose is #1 of a series (I know I am breaking my own rules and I should feel a lot more guilty about it). It’s called Twilight by Meyer. It’s been compared to Harry Potter but for a slightly older teen audience. It’s about a vampire world and I thought it would be appropriate for October – all are welcome to dress the part at our next meeting. We are long overdue for another costume party. I’ve heard several of my friends/family rave about it so hopefully we’ll enjoy it.
Have a wonderful month!

Animal, Vegetable, Miracle - Review

I had a great time last night. Seeing all of you again was a great boost for me. I am actually excited about reading the next book Twilight (Twilight, Book 1) by Stephenie Meyer because I am always a young adult woman at heart and love those adolescent reads.

I have been thinking non stop today about things said and what every one thinks. It is so odd how after a nights sleep and reconnoitering; I feel like I have grown in heart and mind and I am a fueled and a stronger person for it. I think they call this learning.

Thanks everyone for being honest and letting me be honest. It isn't so easy sometimes to agree to disagree. I guess the best part is that after that night sleep is I don't feel like I disagree with anyone because I am able to see their point of view. It is just so awesome to grow up with you guys.
